Support of Project specific IT Functions. This role will be located at the Project Office but with functional report back to the Fluor IT Manager at Head Office. The Deskside Support person will be required to have a mix of skills including desktop/Laptop support, email, helpdesk, asset management etc. Members of this team work closely with the engineering project representatives, and the Project Information Managers (PIMs). The role requires a broad range of IT skills, including, excellent customer focus and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
• Deskside Support
o Ensure the efficient support of Deskside Services to the project on a day-to-day basis.
o Liase with the local PIM to plan project office/site mobilisation & demobilisation
o Proactive participation in the resolution of IT Support issues
o Provide support to applications, desktop, server, telephony and communications
o Installation, maintenance and support of user systems.
o Ability to diagnose, research and troubleshoot problems.
o Provide support of desktop and laptop hardware, and associated printers and peripherals as required
o Support for mobiles, blackberries and VC equipment
o Assist with special projects as required
o Ensure compliance of Fluor IT processes and procedures are adhered to
o Provide regular updates to the team leader.
o Attend regular meetings and monthly review meetings.
Compétences
o Knowledge of Engineering business processes desirable.
o This role requires someone who is flexible, both technically & personally. Some travel is likely.
o On-call will be required on a rotational basis.
• Education/Training
o A minimum of 2 years industry experience.
o Experience in the Engineering and Construction Industry is highly desirable.
o ITIL Certification advantageous but not a requirement, alternatively a good deal of experience in a similar role.
